OH WHAT DISASTER ! HAR GOW GONE WRONG
I definately can't cook.
I can demonstrate this.
Without consulting any YouTube videos, I decided to make Har Gow with Siew Mai that went wrong as well.
Inspired by the purchase of Siewmai and Hargow skin, I was romanticize by how clever I could be.
As usual, things are prepared like onions, shiitake, towgay and spring onions
lovely prawn bought freah from the market
oogling the spots of the pigment of the prawns I was almost lost.
I pride oneself for removing the waste rectum of the prawn and sliced then on half.
so there is the wrap available for retail which I proudly bought
Happily spent time figuring out what to do.
oh, a dash of this and that
so they all go to went into the steam oven and it went on for 45 mins.
it was a disaster, everything didn't seem steamed enough although it was cooked enough. the skins weren't soft and translucent. The flesh of whatever didn't seem to shine in taste, and now I understand why I never was quite satisfied with dim sum
and wondering where I went wrong (forgot to add salt).
to be continued........
