PANIC CARROT CAKE

I chanced upon this video teaching how Malayan carrot cake is made.

I could skip the rice flour cake making process if I bought them ready made which was discovered during panic buy !

looking like a white sausage, rice flour with carrots and radish


it had a crimping used for sausage making

 removing the plastic sleeve you get a oversized capsule. an excuse for carbon overdose !
 slicing them you almost think they are watermarks


 then you dice them

and so there ! carrot cake waiting to happen


like a good boy untried to follow the process in the video

 sizzle pan with oil
throw in the rice cakes and let them brown a bit

 I ran out of spring onions so I used shallots instead


next, the rice cakes are pushed aside making wa t for garlic, shallots and spring onions. once they turned golden brown it should be mixed with thevricer cakes.

Malaysians swear this is the holygrail of sweet sauce and you should never use any other brand !


 added and over liberal amount to ensure a goth black quality to the rice cakes


 added more spring onions and preserved turnips



darkness has its price !


 eggs were prepared with salt and pepper

pour it on the side and like it fry, once it becomes a rubbery slat, mix it with the gothic medium !

while i doubt it was at all uninteresting, I did some vegetables.

 capsicum and green chilly with shallots


so together with the preserve turnips, this gave another level of cruchiness.


the carrot cake was put on a seieve to drain access oil


and then you struggle to make it look edible

the taste however was great. felt like this !
