Faux Ramen

I got waylaid into buying these mee suah in 4 colours, Cool yah?

I created the stock soup by adding chicken breast bones, Japanese sea leaf mix bag and dried scallop

Simmered the pot for quite some time

The bowls had oil and some soy, not very adventurous today

The mee suah cooked too fast

It sat nicely in the bowl

Chopped up some Spinach and add salt and oil ready to steam

Steaming using a sieve and simple pot

and you get an uglier version of spinach after steaming

Chicken was cooked when the stock was simmered

  Chicken was not marinated

to have a clear looking stock I scooped the stock and ran it through a sieve so that the residue dont show up

almost clear stock with the mee suah

Add everything in ! The magic happens ! You have a bowl of something in front of you. You appeared to be working hard, you get a blog entry to write while nobody know what it really taste like.

It came out fine. Didn't really like scallop in the stock although it gave a slight woody taste it just made me think I cooked my part of my cabinet. Nobody knew it was Mee suah, but i don't really want to do Mee suah once I finish this packet of it. This is because it cooks too fast. Watching the world move as you wait is the key to understanding process.

PROCESS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE END RESULT
(which i would stupidly defend)
