30 Minutes to Become Chinese

Freedom in Chinese culture is to eat.

What i did this time was to steam 3 items for 20 minutes while I cooked the beef. And what about the other 10 more minutes? To be Chinese,  you need to be prepared. You hear Singapore / Taiwan / China term all amounting to " Fear of not having any" or " fear of loses"  or " Fear of Death".
(Kiasu Kiasee)

This means the creation of certainty is important, so to do that you need to prepare.
Preparation is usually a 4 season culture sensibility because they face the wrath of the hot summers and freezing winters. 4 season is a gift and a curse, a never ending battle to stay alive.

What was steamed:

1. rice with Logan and onion
2. eggs with garlic ginger mushroom beef
3. pumpkin
4. Steam Oven

what was cooked:
4. Beef marinated , cook wong gal, parsely
5. King Oyster mushrooms

wash some rice, add water 1rice:1water, optional add some dried longans and sliced onions. This give the rice a bit of a sweet smell when the steam ours out. does not really flavor the rice

beat some eggs add musrooms slices and onion and garlic

add some beef shreads

dice some pumpkin, maybe sprinkle some salt

pop it into the steam oven set at 100 degrees for 20 minutes and thats it !

while waiting 20 minutes for the oven , sizzle some oil and onion and parsley and soya sauce

throw in sliced King oyster mushrooms and let it turn golden in the sizzling oil. Add some salt

Since the pan is big, you can adde the beef strips. They are small here so that i can cook them fully well done with CERTAINTY

Oyster Mushroom become gold brown, you begin to lay them in your dish

after flipping the beef on all 4 side it is ready !!!

dump everything you find in the pan on the plate

choose a nice plate so you can take photo

SUDDENLY................DING !!! the steam oven is done !!!

so there you have it, Chinese certainty in 30 minutes ! 3000 years of Chinese existence (we still cant beat the Malays with their 5000 year history) and 2 billion people cant be wrong

rice is nice and fluffy ! easier than potatoes.

scissors cut some parsley over the pumpkin, sure to be sweet and nice

should have put the parsley in after the steaming, still tastes like Chawanushi, but in a Chinese way.

The CHINESE PART..........

scoop anything into your empty bowl and eat without a conscience, forget about saving the earth or be diplomatically right or even think animal rights or aesthetics, just make sure the senior people get their food first.
